Ravensburger Minnie Mouse My First Puzzles

Roo loves puzzles and is really good at them, we’ve got a variety at home including Peppa Pig and a few Disney ones.  So when we were offered the chance to review the Ravensburger Minnie Mouse My First Puzzles I knew she’d like having a go at this.

This new Ravensburger puzzle is aimed at children aged 18 months and up.  The box comes with the pictures of the four puzzles on the front and is bright and colourful so easily attractive to little eyes that love colour. The Minnie Mouse My First Puzzles is the initial product to be released and contains an adorable Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck jigsaw based on the characters from the popular Disney Junior TV show Mickey Mouse Clubhouse with more jigsaws to be released later this year.

Even though Roo is three and a half she still loves simple toys like her shape sorter and when she saw the box she became really excited and wanted to do the jigsaws straight away. Resisting temptation to show her what to do I let her jump straight in and because the puzzles vary in difficulty from a simple two piece up to a five piece jigsaw she got the hang of it and it was great to see a sense of achievement on her face from putting the jigsaws together.

Inside the box there is four jigsaws, two of Minnie Mouse and two of Daisy Duck and each jigsaw has a different number of pieces to complete. The puzzle pieces are chunky, so perfect for little hands and go together really well (even on bobbly carpet) so none of this flimsy cardboard peeling that I have seen on other character jigsaws.

Roo really enjoyed doing these jigsaws and kept doing them over and over again. They are an ideal middle step between wooden shape sorting jigsaws and proper jigsaws and I would definitely recommend them. I liked the fact that the box is compact too so they were easy to take on holiday recently and also perfect for playing on plane and car journeys.

Ravensburger Minnie Mouse My First Puzzles is available to buy at good retailers and is currently on sale at Amazon priced at £5.99.
