I’ve blogged about using reward charts in our house before; I make no bones about the fact that I love them. I love their concept and what they stand for. I like reward charts, I’ve used them with Roo since she reached about 2 years of age and began to understand the consequences of good -v- bad behaviour.  Our fridge as a result is adorned with sticker charts and certificates for her efforts during the week.  Furthermore, I use them in the classroom; I find that if the concept is reinforced to children that good behaviour gives them access to golden play or special activities they are far more willing to follow instructions and tasks.
