Gorgeous Autumn Clothing for Kids from Polarn O Pyret

I was first introduced to the Swedish children’s wear brand Polarn O Pyret when I visited Derby for shopping about two years ago.  I immediately fell in love with their bright, retro and pop art colours and the fact that their clothing was really nicely made and featured a lot of organic and comfort fabrics made it a big hit with me as Roo is pretty active during weekends and her clothes need to keep up.  If you love eco clothing for your kids then make sure you check out the Polarn O Pyret ECO label as this guarantees that the garment is made from 100% organic cotton.

Two years on and the dress I bought her has only just been relegated to the rehoming pile and it has washed and worn fantastically.  So I was delighted to have the chance to review some of their new autumn clothing range as I haven’t been able to get out and get Roo much new stuff lately.

the new autumn kids range from Polarn O PyretThe items we were sent for this review were a stunning child’s tartan skirt, one of their new long sleeve cotton pintuck style tops in cream and a stunning red dress with tiny flowers on it in bright cobalt blue.  Out of the three things I got sent the dress is my absolute favourite.  The colours were so bright and warming for autumn and when Roo put it on recently for a family day out everyone commented on it and wanted to know where it was from.

The tartan skirt is super cute and features side adjusters to make sure that us mum’s get the most wear out of the skirt; I love this feature as Roo has a tiny waist and many skirts simply fall off her.

The long sleeve cream top was great with the tartan skirt and although the sleeves were a little long (she’ll get plenty of wear out of this piece) the body fitted well and it was a good weight to wear with a cardigan over it or a light weight jacket when out and about.

The tartan skirt has some nifty features including super soft seams that do not chafe against delicate skin and the skirt is made from 100% cotton and can be safely washed up to 60 degrees, so great for giving the skirt a really good freshen up.

I have washed and ironed all three items on a standard 40 degree wash and not one item shrunk or had the colour run in them and they have all ironed beautifully, as I would expect from Polarn O Pyret.

The full range of autumn children’s wear can be viewed on the Polarn O Pyret website – I already have my eye on a new weatherproof jacket for Roo and love these high waisted trousers for active weekends at the park.  You can also follow Polarn O Pyret on twitter for all the latest kids clothing news and offers.
