Last Friday we had the unfortunate news that two of my mother in law’s siamese cats had unfortunately perished in a fire at a local cattery where they were boarding whilst she was away on holiday. Miss Roo was devastated at their loss as was my mother in law; it’s just not what you expect to come back off holiday too and everyone has been very teary eyed over the weekend. Pets are such a big part of our family we would be devastated if anything happened to Bella and Bertie our moggies and it’s for that reason that from day one we’ve had pet insurance for both of them.
We only have a basic policy but for us the reassurance and level of cover we get from our pet insurance means that should anything happen to either of them then we are covered for up to £7,000 worth of treatment and support with any ongoing treatment or illness. Having been caught out when our previous cat was run over two years ago and we could have ended up with a vets bill for £4,000 that cost of the annual policy is negligible compared to this and we know they are covered in an emergency.
If you have pets and are considering taking out pet insurance for them then the clever people at Petplan have come up with a range of affordable insurance policies for all sorts of pets from dogs and cats through to horses. Since Petplan’s inception in 1976, our priority has been to keep the nation’s pets healthy and their owners happy. By offering the very best pet insurance policies and great customer service they have helped millions of owners get their beloved pets back on their feet following illness and injury.
The result is that over the past 36 years, Petplan has helped all types of dogs, cats and rabbits through accident and illness. In fact, according to Mintel Petplan have helped more pets through accident and illness than any other pet insurer in the UK! Our commitment to offering you quality pet cover extends beyond the traditional services offered by other pet insurance providers.
