With 2 sleeps to go now till hundreds of excited, over stimulated, technology crazy bloggers descend on London for Cybher 2012 I thought I would post the top apps on my iPhone that I will be using during the event to keep in touch with those who are not at Cybher during the day. Let’s face it geek bloggers are smart, social and savvy and this is true of the mummy blogging community.
So with this in mind I thought I would post my top apps for Cybher 2012.
Hootsuite – this has been on my phone since the day it came out and is the only twitter management client I use on my phone and desktop. It works, it’s simple, it does exactly what I need it to and because I am a geek I have the paid version to track metrics and stats when I am doing sponsored blog posts and tweets about a particularly subject. I will of course be using the #Cybher hash tag for all my tweets during the day and posting pictures to accompany my stream.
Instagram – ok so the camera on the iPhone 3GS isn’t as fancy pants as the iPhone 4 but with Instagram I can take some pretty rocking pictures and turn them into works of art. I love the fact I can link it into my social profiles and add appropriate #tags again to make sure I reach as many fellow bloggers as possible.
EventBrite – I used to use EventBrite with clients of mine to set up and manage all their events and it’s a great free app that allows me to not waste a tree by printing a paper ticket. Simply sign in using the email address and password you used to purchase your Cybher ticket (which are now as rare as rocking horse poo) and then you can access a QR code that is your digital ticket and access pass to the event. You can also browse the event details direct from the app.
Scan – a free (see I like free stuff) app that allows you to scan QR barcodes from your iPhone and then promptly displays the product info / special offer of whatever you’ve just scanned. Bearing in mind that Cybher is all about blogging, digital media and social gadgets I expect lots of use from this during the day.
Shazam – simply because I will no doubt hear music during the day that makes me think “damm what is that tune” thanks to Shazam I will be able to grab a sound snippet, save it and then download it later.
And lastly….
TubeMap – for those of you who fear the tube map and get lost in it’s pretty array of colours (I for one want to get on the pink line just ‘cos it’s pink) and have no idea where you need to go on which lines and which direction for Cybher grab this free app that allows you to put in your starting point, end point, what type of route you want to take and hey presto it produces an idiots guide to tube travel around London and even allows you to save favourite journeys.
I’d love to know what other apps any of my fellow Cybher goers would recommend for the event so feel free to post them below. See you Saturday ladies.
To enjoy these apps, ensure that you get the best deals on smartphones with uSwitch, where you can get the cheapest prices as well as finding out the latest iPhone, Samsung Galaxy and htc desire c review
