I love cooking and particularly finding new recipes. One of my favourite countries because of their food is France. The best meal I ever had was in Dijon where I had a beautiful authentic Coq Au Vin that was absolutely bursting with flavour.
To celebrate Bastille Day on 14th July celebrity chef Jean Christophe Novelli has partnered with Port Salut to create two exclusive French themed recipes – a twist on the classic French dishes – Eggs Florentine and Chicken and Leek Fricassee. Jean-Christophe Novelli is a 5 out of 5 AA Rosette and Michelin award winning chef and he has been dubbed the “the nation’s favourite French chef”.
Jean-Christophe Novelli Recipes for Bastille Day
These recipes are quick and easy to create using many store cupboard and supermarket every day ingredients. I will be cooking the chicken and leek fricassee recipe for a family party on Saturday as I know that it will go down really well with a big green salad and a bowl of rice, plus it’s a good way to get Roo to eat a variety of different vegetables that usually would get pushed forlornly around the plate!
You can download the free Jean-Christophe Novelli and Port Salut Bastille recipe book here, and if you have a go at making the dishes please tweet me @themummyblogger or post a comment below letting me know how you get on.
Bonne Bastille!
