It’s Margarita Time with Vitamix!

Vitamix cocktail partyThere comes along every now and then those amazing blogger opportunities, to test, review and write about great products – to get to go to events and see brilliant shows – to host parties or travel to places that you wouldn’t usually get access to.  Well last week one such email opportunity landed in my inbox – the chance to host my very own margarita party with Vitamix!

Vitamix LogoMost of you know that my 5pm tipple is my daily treat to me and I love cocktails but very rarely make them at home – after all drinking cosmopolitan’s or manhattan’s in my tracksuit and slippers seems more Shameless than Made in Chelsea and so generally my cocktail indulgence is saved for holidays and nights out.  So you can imagine the grin on my face when I found out I would be

receiving Vitamix machine to make some whizzy cocktails.

Vitamix is the world’s number one blender company, has come to be synonymous with versatility, quality, durability and power, gaining a loyal following that includes professional chefs, athletes, homecooks, celebrities and millions more worldwide.

Since the start of the company in 1921, Vitamix has manufactured high-speed, high-performance blenders that perform dozens of different kitchen functions. The machines can grind grain, cook soup, juice whole fruits and vegetables, knead dough, create frozen drinks, and can even make ice cream. And that’s just a portion of what they can do.

Now I am getting to put them to the test by hosting a party and inviting some of my glamorous mummy friends round for an evening of cocktail making (not sure if Daddy E is free to stand in as Tom Cruise) so that we can put the Vitamix to the test and create the ultimate cocktail as part of the preparations for this years Britmums Live event in London.  If you’re not sure what makes the perfect margarita then stay tuned to see what we come up with on the night – and if you want to try making you’re own before hand check out this classic margarita recipe.

I am already feeling pretty inspired having lost at least an hour of my life this afternoon browsing Pinterest for margarita recipes and inspiration; it’s a tough job but someone’s got to do it!
