Father’s Day is just around the corner the shops are full of suggestions for gift ideas to let dad know how amazing he is. If you’re looking for something a little different I’ve rounded up three things that have caught my eye on the web in the last few weeks that make great alternative gifts.
First up are these stunning men’s watches from the Camden Watch Co. Perfect for the urban father who likes to look sharp, the Camden Watch Co draws its inspiration from 1900’s industrial London, focusing on key elements of the working man’s daily life, with subtle nods to locomotive style and Victorian train clocks.
Along with their very first limited edition watch to commemorate Britain’s very first World Champion Boxer, and London icon, Tom Sayers (perfect for the boxing fan), the Camden Watch Co have also introduced some stunning blue watch face designs, including a Rose Gold version, to really make your style stand out from the crowd.
It is the No.88 rose gold and grown leather watch that is my absolute favourite out of the collection. The dial and crown are reminiscent of vintage steam train gauges. The seconds hand is the same turquoise-blue as the iconic Camden Lock bridge and the colour combination on this is just timeless.
Next up is Gruhme, a brand that I’ve featured before with their iconic men’s aftershave Gruhme No.14. The team behind British brand Gruhme have begun to create a range of luxurious, individually designed, men’s lifestyle and grooming products that reflect their passion for design, individuality and quality. The latest addition to this collection is their range of sterling silver cufflinks.
The cufflinks are black and silver enamel and made from sterling silver and crafted at Deakin & Francis in Birmingham. Each set comes in a sumptuous velvet lined gift box and is prepared painstakingly by hand and features the signature Gruhme ‘G’ in a black and silver design. The cufflinks are priced at £200 per pair and would make a truly individual gift for the dad who likes to look dapper for the boardroom and enjoys the finer things in life.
Last on the list for gift ideas is one of my favourite companies and that is Molton Brown. I recently treated myself to some of their pink pepperpod shower gel and it is lovely to wake up in the morning and awaken my senses with this. For dad the pick of the bunch is their Mesmerising Oudh Accord and Gold shower gel, which features a warm heady scent of nutmeg and contains flecks of gold. What I love about this shower gel is that the scent lingers after use and has managed to knock the usual favourite of black peppercorn into second place. The best way to describe it is that the smell is so rich and aromatic that it envelops you when you wear it – it is like a really warming hug in a bottle!
Whatever you get dad this Father’s Day above all else make sure you take the time to tell him just how amazing he is – I know that I for one will be letting my dad know.
