Getting a good night with Time4Sleep

You will probably remember a few months ago I posted about my lovely bedroom that I was creating at our new house; finally I’d been able to indulge my love of pretty fabrics and soft colours and over the last few weeks have been adding to the soft furnishings in the room with some new cushions from Sainsburys in a lovely soft pink mohair cushion and also painting one of my old pot cupboards with some Annie Sloan paint.  It is all part of my plan to get a good night sleep and make the most of those valuable 8 hours in the land of nod.

My room is finally becoming a place that I look forward to heading to at the end of the day and it is lovely to have a sanctuary to retreat to.  The final piece of the jigsaw to finish off my bedroom was my quest for a new bed.  I had been hankering after a sleigh bed for AGES.  I love the shape of them, the curves and the fact that they are always beautifully crafted.

I started browsing the internet looking for some and there are just far too many bedroom furniture websites but after several cups of tea and half a bar of Galaxy (for motivational purposes) I found the fabulous Time4Sleep website.  Their website is packed with some beautiful beds and bedroom furniture, but they carry one of the best ranges of wooden beds I have seen and as soon I hit the sleigh beds tab on the website I was in heaven.  The bed that stood out for me was a Normandy sleigh bed painted in a dove grey.  My bedroom wall is painted in a Farrow & Ball’s Middleton Pink and I have a lovely duck egg duvet cover and the dove grey was less stark than white against these pastel tones.

A quick Tweet to their customer service team about stock levels and delivery and a few phone calls later my order was placed. The team were friendly and despite being out of stock of the bed told me about a slight factor second bed that I could have at a great price if I didn’t mind a small mark on the headboard.  Not one to be deterred and always on the lookout for a bargain the Time4Sleep team sent some photos through of the slight damage and as most of it was on bits of the bed you couldn’t see I snapped up a great bargain on an amazing bed.

The bed duly arrived within a few days and after following the really simple instructions my new bed and matching three drawer chest were in-situ and completing my boudoir!  Getting into bed has never been so comfortable and it is lovely to be able to starfish in my big bed.
