BOSS Watches – The New Pilot Collection

I love a good watch and invested in a beautiful one for myself some years ago when I was staying at the stunning St Regis hotel in Abu Dhabi (if you ever are lucky enough to stay in this luxury hotel I highly recommend the amazing spa).  A luxury watch is an investment and not only looks good, but will also be a lovely piece to pass on someday.  The new Pilot collection from BOSS watches has some beautifully designed watches, which, if you are looking for a gift for someone special will tick all the boxes.

Hugo Boss have create a collection of fine wrist watches, which are elegantly designed timepieces at the very pinnacle of modern design and well suited to today’s lifestyle and trends.

I was sent three watches to look at and pictures of each of them are below.  Two of them are men’s watches and one is a ladies watch (although having worn it for a few days for me it is a little large as I have slim wrists).  The watches are refined and I like the fact that there are leather and metal strap versions available depending on a style preference and budget.

First up is the HUGO BOSS Black 1513329 Pilot Vintage Edition Stainless Steel Wristwatch In Silver.  This chunky, yet deceptively light to wear watch, features a quartz movement stainless steel watch with a round polished and edged bezel. The dial is black and is adorned with brushed silver numerals and day date display window situated at 3 o clock on the dial. A polished and brushed stainless steel link bracelet strap and buckle. This watch is water resistant up to 50 metres.  M has been wearing this watch as a daily alternative to his Breitling and has found it comfortable, unobtrusive, and ideal for wearing to business meetings without being ostentatious.

The second of the BOSS watches is a classic gentleman’s leather watch featuring a distinctive petrol blue face.  This watch is only water resistant to 30 metres but like the Pilot edition above is a quartz movement in a stainless steel case.  This would be a great day watch and currently comes in at under £150 on some sites which makes it perfect for every day but also smart enough.  More of a traditional style than the Pilot wristwatch this would suit an older wearer.

The last watch from the BOSS watch collection and features a gorgeous slate grey smooth leather strap and rose gold face.  Whilst I love the look and design of this watch, wearing it was uncomfortable due to the large face size and the positioning of the time adjustment button.  I have very slim wrists and it continually dug into the side of my hand and restricted the movement in my hand during wear.  Out of this and my Michael Kors watch as a day watch, I would stick to my Michael Kors watch as once on I hardly know I am wearing it.
