Recently Roo and I were sent the new Ben & Holly Little Kingdom play set and dominos to test out. Now Roo had been a bit naughty over the last two weeks so as a punishment she wasn’t allowed to review the toys. Instead her best friend from school Erin got the treat of reviewing these and as you can see from the photos loved every minute of testing out the castle!
The Ben & Holly Little Kingdom, little castle magical play set is well made and sturdy.
It comes with 4 figurines that are just like the characters Ben Elf ,Holly, Nanny Plum and Fleur in the TV show. The castle has 6 rooms and a court yard and closes for easy storage. The magical play set also comes with its own active wand, Erin loved using the wand to activate the 5 magic places and was amazed at how the magical wand was able to make the fairies fly.
Erin also had lots of fun making Holly’s toy chest magically open and loved how the washing line would pop up . She also made the bath magically fill up and sat and watched the fire magically blaze. The castle also comes with its own magical fridge that pops open. The toys have been designed to cover a good age range 3 – 6 years of age and are easy for children to play with on their own and with friends and family.
The castle is small and portable for taking to and from grandparents or friends houses. Also available is the Little Kingdom Magical Elf Tree and the Little Kingdom Magical Toodstool. The Ben & Holly Little kingdom Magical Play sets will provide your child with endless fun and laughter. The one thing to note is that the catch is a little fiddly to open.
At £24.99 the Ben & Holly Little Kingdom doesn’t cost the earth and does everything any fair mad little girl would want from a dolls house as well as being linked to a popular character television programme. From a parents point of view, it’s great that everything fits inside and then it can be stored away easily.
We also got to test the Ben & Holly dominoes set. These bright sparkly dominoes are great for pre-school and young children with their pictures on as it doesn’t require your child to yet be able to read or to write. Dominoes encourages simple matching and counting skills.
The full range of Ben & Holly toys can be seen on the Golden Bear website.
