I have to admit having a little girl rocks, I love shopping and clothes and pretty things and so being able to indulge my love of eclectic fabrics and bright colours on Roo’s wardrobe is somewhat of a parenting obsession. So I literally fell head over heels with the beautiful range of organic kids clothing from Rocket Muffin when I found them online recently and then got even more excited when the fantastic Rebecca offered us a dress to review for Roo. If you haven’t heard of Rocket Muffin then here’s a low-down on what their clothing range is all about.
Rocket Muffin is about simple designs with glorious details made in fabulous retro inspired 100% organic fabric (GOTS approved). Championing new British designers with it’s fresh, quirky range of organic girls and boys clothing. Each design is only made in small quantities, making your little one an individual and a style setter. Available from aged 2 to 9 years old there are some gorgeous pieces to choose from.
The little girls dresses are stunning, in gorgeous organic cotton and retro art prints. It didn’t take me long to choose the Woodland Party Ruffle Dress for Roo. I loved the style of the dress being loose fitting so great for playing in and the fox print fabric was adorable. The side zip made it easy for getting on and off and the dress was also lined which was a bonus as some dresses in the past have irritated her skin as she does have a tendency to hate anything scratch against it. Roo was sent a 4-5 size dress and there was plenty of room in this especially under the arms where some dresses are often tight.
We took the dress on an outing to the VW show at Shrewsbury Show Ground and had loads of people stopping us and admiring the dress. It kept Roo cool all day being cotton and I loved the fact with the ruffles it didn’t matter about getting creased sitting down travelling in the car. The dress has a retail price of £27 which is on a par with other organic clothing ranges I’ve bought in the past and certainly not over expensive for the quality of the dress and the fact it’s a pretty unique piece. Delivery is a flat rate postal charge of £3 for the UK and Rocket Muffin will dispatch within 3 working days by 1st class delivery.
