A Thrilling Half Term with Gandey’s Circus

Addy is in for a treat this half term as I’ve been given some tickets to go to the amazing Gandey’s Circus at Merry Hill. She loves the circus and really enjoyed the Circus Zyair at Tamworth I took her too recently.

Gandey’s is the largest Big Top entertainment organisation – and is returning to the West Midlands with a super-charged action-packed, all human circus of THRILLS at the Merry Hill Shopping Centre, Brierley Hill.

You’ll be gripped by the electrifying excitement of the death defying aerialists high in the roof of the Big Top…..left breathless by the boisterous high-octane acrobatics of African physical theatre…perched on the edge of your seats at the Wheel of Death… astounded by the acrobats who achieve the impossible by challenging the laws of gravity… delighted yet completely baffled by the stylish and graceful art of “quick change”….and laugh out loud at the antics of the hilarious clowns in circus spectacular for all the family.

New beauty buys from Eye of Horus and Barry M

When we head into autumn I like to update my make-up box with a few new beauty buys to go with the change in season and the change in colours that I wear.  It’s great to see my favourite shade of plums and maroons on the high street this year for fashion and I love the opportunity to wear a deep cherry nail varnish as I think they make nails look ultra glam without being too vampy.

So what’s ended up in my make-up box this month?  A trip into Superdrug revealed the new range of Barry M Gliterrati nail varnish.  All lined up on the shelf they looked absolutely beautiful and perfect for the forthcoming party season.  My favourites are Starlet and Rockstar and I might have ended up buying them all just to see what they were like!  Priced at £3.99 they’re a great quick update and won’t break the bank.

A scarecrow West End takeover for McCain Emmerdale auditions

There was a surprise invasion in London’s West End recently when scarecrows took to the streets as part of a great piece of marketing from McCain.  McCain held auditions for people in Arts Theatre in the heart of the West End, London to try to win a part on the small screen in the Emmerdale sponsorship adverts and £5,000 for their village festival next year.

There was however one twist…the auditions were for scarecrows!  The overall winner of the auditions was chosen as the Star-crows from Mobberley in Cheshire who have now gone on to hit the big time and won a part on the small screen in the Emmerdale sponsorship ads!

Smile Brilliant Teeth Whitening Kits

I’ve always wanted perfect teeth, lovely straight pearly whites as I have a pretty crooked tooth at the front of my upper teeth that annoys me when I smile and is something I’ve become increasingly self conscious of as I have got older.  I declined the option years back to have a brace fitted to straighten my teeth as I am a wuss at the dentist and petrified of having anything done.  I drink a fair bit of coffee and lately have noticed some unsightly staining on my teeth which despite using a lot of the leading high street teeth whitening toothpastes I just couldn’t shift.  So when the team at the professional home teeth whitening company Smile Brilliant got in touch about reviewing their custom teeth whitening kits I was keen to see if using a ‘professional’ solution would be more effective.
