Summer Scooter Fun for Kids

Ever since Addy was little she’s loved her scooter and we invested early on in the brilliant brand that is Micro Scooters.  Whilst they may be pricier than your average scooter they are excellently made, come in a fantastic range of customisable colours, stand up amazingly well for all the rough tough love that kids throw at their scooters in the park and most importantly are really really safe.

Their range of scooters starts from 2 years and goes right up to adults (yes really us grown ups can earn some street cred points and have a grown up Micro Scooter!) and I recently upgraded Addy’s scooter to one of the 6 – 12 year old ones and already it’s proving a great investment as we scoot to school and throughout the summer holidays it makes those shopping trips into town just a little more pleasurable, and on those chilly school runs it got us warmed up on the way to school.

Yankee Candle Ultimate Car Kit Review

I love my car, Marvin Mini (yes I am a typical girl and named my car).  Marvin is reliable and doesn’t answer back or give me grief when I swap the radio station or sing out of tune.  I look after Marvin because quite frankly without my car I would be absolutely scuppered.  Public transport is beyond shocking for getting about on a day to day basis, I can honestly say at 35 years of age I’ve never stepped foot on a bus and don’t intend to start now.

Once a week Marvin is treated to a mini valet and always looks gleaming afterwards.  When I get back inside to drive him there is that lovely new car smell again as all the leather and dashboard has been polished.  Unfortunately, it doesn’t last long once Addy has got back into the car and deposited the plethora of creatures and food that seem to accompany us on our days out.  By the end of the week Marvin looks a little tired and can smell a bit fresh especially if he’s been carting my gym kit around for a week!

Win £30 of cash with VoucherBin

The school holidays can be seriously expensive when you have to amuse the kids for six weeks!  Take in to account days out, food, souvenirs, trips to the cinema and little treats to keep them amused over the summer and before you know it your weekly budget can spiral out the window.

There are ways though you can save money using discount sites to get money off vouchers to help ease the financial burden on your bank balance and also using the great outdoors (which is free) to amuse the kids; a trip to the park can amuse the kids for hours if you take a ball, a cricket set or a frisbee and you can usually get away with an ice cream for a treat to get them to go home.

Gala Bingo look to break for World Record for Bingo at Coronation Street

Gala Bingo have teamed up with Coronation Street and the charity, Male Cancer Awareness Campaign in order to host an event to try and break the world record for the biggest bingo balls ever used in a game on 18th July. £10,500 has already been raised by Gala at the end of June through giving a massive 20% of all revenue made on its Corrie Bingo games. This is expected to raise even more cancer awareness through this fantastic fundraising scheme.

The idea for the ‘biggest bingo balls’ is in conjunction with men checking their ‘balls’ as a way in which to help raise funds for the charity. MCAC Ambassador and model Rhian Sugden will be on hand to accept the cheque. Celebrity guests and ex-Corrie stars will be on hand to take part in the one-of-a-kind bingo game. These include Adam Rickett, Steven Arnold, Sunitta from Corrie, Angela Griffiths, Jeff Brazier and Sheri Hewson. A total of 45 players will take part and 90 will have a ‘golden ticket’ which will give them a once in a lifetime tour around the famous Corrie set by one of the show’s ex-stars.
