We live in a world of technology, kids have access to tablets, phones and gadgets from a young age. They spend more and more time with their head in their games than a book and gone are the days where you could send the kids out to play (safely) and tell them to be back by tea time. We have less and less open space for them to play in and so many parks are full of threatening teenagers, dirty benches and unwelcoming toilets.
Thankfully though in Lichfield we have an amazing park, Beacon Park which has a fantastic play area for kids. With a pirate ship, swings, a wooden train, rocking chickens, rocks to climb, a sand pit, plenty of benches for mums to rest their weary bottoms on and a cafe for ice cold drinks and a bribery ice cream to go home.
