Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation Review

Illamasqua skin base foundationLast month I posted about one of my favourite make-up brands Illamasqua.  I had followed this brand for a while on Twitter and had been coveting their make-up.  Their Twitter time-line is full of fabulous pictures from Illamasqua trainers and ‘Illamafia’ their fans of their make up and I was inspired by one of their trainers Charlotte to try out first of all one of their lipsticks in Fable with a gloss over the top that I had seen her wearing.

If you read the post you will see that I was hooked and hooked big time.  This meant two things.  One I would now replace all the make-up in my box with Illamasqua products and secondly I would become bankrupt in the process. This is exactly what happened when I headed into the Bullring in Birmingham as the Selfridges store there provides the local hit for my Illamasqua addiction.

What is Creative Writing?

creative writingI love writing and have been writing this blog for night on 6 years now and creating online content for nearly 10.  It is an outlet for me and I would be lost if I didn’t have somewhere to stand on my soapbox and vent every now and again. Writing for me is cathartic and can be a fantastic tool for emotional release.

Creative writing can include any sort of writing where the main aim is to express your thoughts and emotions, rather than to produce a piece which just states information. Creative writing is becoming an increasingly popular pastime. It is a great way to get your thoughts out and on the paper. You are sure to find creative writing a challenging but highly rewarding activity, whether it be as a hobby or for those of you who would like to pursue a career in this field. You can’t beat that feeling of accomplishment when you have finally finished your piece.

The post operative bra – a vital recovery tool

post operative surgery brasI’ve had two friends who’ve battled breast cancer in recent years and undergone serious surgery that has thankfully saved their lives.  In the years that they underwent their treatment they both commented that there was a lack of decent and feminine post operative support bras.

Thankfully, though with the increase in breast surgeries there are now more options available.  But just what do you need to take into consideration when looking for a bra post surgery?

Various medical conditions require patients to undergo breast surgery such as mastectomy, lumpectomy and reconstructive procedures. An increasing number of women are also choosing elective breast surgery for augmentation, lift or reduction; breast enlargement is the most requested cosmetic surgery procedure in the U.K. – close to 10,000 women underwent breast implant surgery in 2013. Recovery time following breast surgery depends on the type of procedure performed.

Mmmm Dr Oetker Panebello Pizza

Dr Oetker Panebello pizza

I have to say we don’t eat much pizza in our house, shop bought ones don’t cut it and take-away ones are hideously expensive.  So when the opportunity arose to try out the new Dr Oetker Panebello pizza range I was keen to try them and see if they could fill a food gap in our house.

Pizza’s make a great fun tea, and best of all on the nights when you’re tearing your hair out from after school activities and fractious kids that want their tea now they are a saviour.

Add in some salad, a jacket potato and you have a well rounded dinner that will keep the kids happy and your sanity intact.  Priced at a shade over £2.00 you could feed a family of four on a pizza quite easily and so it’s a pretty cheap tea which for many families who are watching the pennies is important.
