Motors.co.uk undertook a survey entitled “Driven to Distraction” in which they asked parents getting distracted whilst at the wheel. The survey indicates that an overwhelming majority of parents have been distracted by their children whilst driving, with 96%, getting distracted by their kids being too noisy or arguing with siblings. The spillage, mess, or vomiting caused by children has distracted over 50% of parents while 20% have lost concentration because they have had to deal the kids throwing objects around whilst the vehicle was in motion.

If there’s one thing that is clear in recent months it’s that Roo is growing up and taking more of an interest in asserting her own style in the things she chooses to wear. As a mum when your kids are little it’s great to dress them up in cute outfits and put them in the clothes you want but one thing’s for certain as they approach school age they get a headstrong opinion on what they want to wear v what you want them to wear.
This though is all part of them discovering their personality and individuality and ultimately is something I embrace. Roo has never been a big girly girl, but in the last few weeks she’s been coming to the nail bar with me to watch me have my nails done and I recently treated her to a mini manicure as a treat in half term and she loved it. A trip to the circus heralded the wearing of a very princess inspired dress (much to my surprise), and a recent review for the Tots100 team for H&A hair care has lead to me having to re-create Disney princess inspired hair do’s.
One of the best things about my weight loss journey has been not just the weight and inch loss but also the return of my confidence and particularly my love of clothing and wearing outfits that reflect my personality.
I love bright colours, prints and statement dresses. So this trend with neon being on the high street and animal prints and kimonos bursting off the racks it is my dream to be able to put on some of these gorgeous trends with confidence and wear them. And wear them I shall as I begin to prepare for my holiday to Italy in about 8 weeks and start the quest for the holiday style essentials.
Readers of the blog will have read our previous reviews for Schleich horses and their other animals and know that Roo has a fascination for animals generally. We love Schleich and their range of animals are realistic and affordable and make great toys for role play and imaginative play.
Our Schleich animals have been on journeys to the moon, travelled through time to the Jurassic period for dinosaur antics, been injured in dramatic farm crashes and of course been used nearly every night as bath toys.
